Job Description Linux Consultant
Qualifications
• Virtualization using technologies like (Xen, KVM, and VMware).
• High availability and clustering using Red hat cluster suite and GFS.
• Linux distributions (Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS, Debian, Mandrake).
• Server configuration like Mail Server (sendmail, postfix), Web server (apache), Gateway (IPtables, squid, smoothwall, Danceguardian ...etc), File sharing server (samba, FTP, NFS), DNS server (bind 9), DHCP server.
• Computer network and hardware Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
• Programming Skills:
• Shell Scripting (Windows, Linux and UNIX) to automate administrative tasks.
• Object Oriented Programming with C++, Visual C++ 6.0 and Visual C#.NET.
• Web programming with HTML, Java Script, ASP.NET.
• Programming using Delphi7.
• Basics of GSM Networks.
• Good experience in reviewing the existing IT infrastructure in terms of hardware and softwarearchitectures, connectivity, downtime and breakdown statistics.
• Ability to conduct a round table session with all the relevant persons involved (mainly: IT, ICS, CRM, FSSD), during which the information needs and requirements are discussed taking into consideration the vision of the client to improve services delivered to customers.
• Good experience in demonstrating how a well-established technological infrastructure can make the client job easier and more efficient.
• Ability to wrap up the session with a list of needs and requirements to be taken into consideration during systems customization and deployment.
